19th April 2010 (Alex Hamilton)

The Line-up:
John Weedon, Michael Dykes, Toma Habashi, Amar Sharma, Justin Edwards, Terry Sweeney, Rob Songhust, Phil Wall, Alex Hamilton.

The others again.

Phil Wall made it back from Austria- Should he get man of the match just for that?

We started much better and it took them them a lot longer to score but they did score first.

We got one back 1-1

Again we played well and they found it hard to score again but they did 2-1

We came back again 2-2

Could we hold on or even get the winner?

No!

they scored again and again 4-2

The clock was ticking down and we were knocking on the door they were hanging on for dear life then a wonderful long range strike from the ;downhill skier' Phil Wall, great goal! 4-3

We had so many chances to score again but we wasted them

I cannot remember what happened at the end either they sccored again or they did not and ran out 4-3 winners?

Man of the Match: If you know anything about football you will know why our game was more together this week. It was one man yes one man stood proud on that field and took a stand and said no, enough is enough I will not let the others walk all over us, yes he put his marker down and took the game to them. Now I know the majority think it was amar but would you believe it it was not. No it was another.
He ran the game for us, kept us organised, kept the ball and moved it around well. Yes the award goes to, 'keep it on the deck',  Alex Hamilton. Well played .

12th April 2010 (Toma)

The others again

The line-up; Andy Thomas, Rob West, Amar Sharma, Graham Foster, Rob Songhurst, Terry Sweeney, Toma Habashi, Justin Edwards.

As usual they scored very quickly but then we settled down and they found it difficult to score again for a while but we were no real threat up the other end.

We really did miss our flair players as we could not hold up the ball and were toothless in attack.

All is forgiven 'flair players' you can come back.( you can wear you flared trousers anytime you like).

They kept attacking and moving the ball well and we tried our best to keep the score to a repectable level.

Considering the players we were missing we did well. The others ran out 4-0 winners.

Man Of the Match: Rob West played very well in goal as did Andy Thomas and Graham Foster BUT the man of the match has to go to Toma Habshi. He ran his lungs out up top.
Well Played Toma.

5th April 2010 (Alex Hamilton)

The teams:

Toma Habashi, Michael Dykes, Amar Sharma, Alex Hamilton, Rob Songhurst, Justin Edwards, Graham Foster.

Vs.

David Williams, Rob West, Alex Young, Mark Stares, Phil Wall, Terry Sweeney.

Great turnout for Bank Holiday Monday.

The holiday weekend excesses had taken their toll on energy levels, stamina etc.

It took almost 30 mins to score, Alex H popped up and scored, 1-0.

At the 30 minute mark someone from Alex h's team asked if Phil Wall's team would like the extra man for the second half.

The reply, well ' you keep the extra man'. It was like saying your need him.

As gentlemen Alex H's team took it exactly like that and then someone from Alex H's team said 'let's give these chaps a jolly good thrashing'

Have you seen how the incredible hulk changes well Alex H's team did nothing like that.

Surge after surge, chasing the ball down, defending well, closing down, Phil Wall's team could not live with it

Goal after goal after goal after goal with only one reply from Alex Y.

Alex H scored a hatrick and his team steam rollered out 9-1 winners, yes 9-1, should have taken the extra man swap!

Man of the Match: For scoring 3 goals, keping the ball on the deck, making countless runs inside and being an all round good egg, Alex Hamilton wins this week. This is your second man of the match performance and you and Alex Young are in the running for the end of the 10 week champers prize.
