27th September (Oberon)

Firstly a very warm welcome to 'Oberon' a new player dad (Aaron in year 2)

 

Well played Oberon an excellent debut.

Not so good this week

 

general view is that our midfield is the problem

 

the others constantly charge through and keep  our disciplined defenders under constant pressure!!

we only go for ' ONE PINT'  and it is only once a month, a chance to have a quick chat, no big deal, it would be nice to see more of you!

 

we lost 5-1,

20th September (Phil Wall)

toma went over, 12 vs. 12 no advantage either way

Rocky was on fire 2 quick goals with great finishing, we were 2-0

 

just like last week we were more resolute

 

but we did let them back in 2-2

 

we worked hard and focused

 

and yes rocky again 3-2 to us

 

we not only held on but had chances for more

 

in the old days we would have buckled

 

but we stood strong against the storm and held firm

 

final score 3-2, yes we won!

 

Man Of the Match: Phil 'rocky' wall. If you want to know how to hold the ball and then score goals with good finishing then I can let you know next week, but back to phil, seriously, excellent play, great finishing. someone did say that only bib wearer's could qualify for man of the match but he played so well he has got to get it, well done rocky.

13th September (Whole Team)

What a great performance

Justin, Amar, Mark, Toma, Terry, David, Graham, Rob S, Alex Y almost full pitch, small goals

we were up against the others who not only had their graham but a new pacy attacker

they struggled to score for a long time

we defended very well

they finally scored  1-0

they struggled to score again

we kept pressure on them and they were hanging on near the end

it just would not go in for us

and so with all our pressing they got us at the end and scored

final score 2-0

despite the defeat I felt we ALL performed very well as a team and it was one of our better team performances

we just did not have that cutting edge in front of goal

MAN OF THE MATCH: I have to say every member of our team played and performed well and gave everything. In the early days we would have lost 8-0!

So No man of the match BUT MEN OF THE MATCH YES OUR WHOLE TEAM, WELL PLAYED GUYS VERY PROUD OF OUR PERFORMANCE.

6th September - Breaking news: missing match report is found

The missing match report for Monday 6th Sept 2010 has returned from being lost in the ether!

 

It was pouring with rain, the floodlights were on we all got soaked, what a great match
